  • Surround yourself with nature and walking trails on a 40-acre property with an arrestingly beautiful true post & beam home to call your very own!

The house features oak floors, solid oak posts & beams hand-built decades ago, a new cast iron wood-burning stove in the high-ceilinged main living room, carrara marble countertops in the newly remodeled open & airy chef's kitchen, brand new top of the line Bosch appliances, Schumacher and Pierre Frey window dressings & upholstery throughout, an antique but fully restored clawfoot tub in the main floor bathroom, fully functional antique porcelain sinks, a statuario marble master bathroom and shower on the lower level, French doors and mullioned-windows throughout, the sweetest loft nook with separate seating areas, a lofted bedroom with full privacy yet lots of natural light, and so much more!

A Hästens queen mattress is found on the main floor bedroom, a luxury queen Avocado mattress resides in the loft bedroom upstairs, and another luxury Avocado king mattress is found in the lower level master bedroom. All beds are complete with Parachute linen bedding and down-filled linen duvets.

A cozy theatre room, complete with a 3.1 channel Klipsch sound system, Denon amplifier, and professional JVC 4K digital projector (with a 92" electronic dropdown screen), is found on the downstairs level, which doubles as a welcoming work-from-home office (or even an extra private bedroom should one want to sleep on the super plush and down-filled Cisco sofa).

An expansive 24' wide Thermory Ash deck complete with a custom-built cedar hot tub, large firepit with eight Innisfree lounge chairs, and a 50' heated saltwater swimming pool are all found outside along with private hiking trails and the historic Shekomeko creek... where you may just unearth arrowheads if you're lucky!

There are countless details to mention, including a collection of handpicked original art and an array of eclectic antiques mixed with ZZ's very own furniture crafted by acclaimed contemporary designers from across the US, Europe, and Africa (which you are welcome to rent or buy should you wish from ZZ Driggs).

There is so much to explore around Pine Plains and the northeastern Hudson Valley, yet you may find the sweet and private paths and trails discovered right outside the home are all you need for the rest, relaxation, and the delight that comes from an aesthete and complete abode like this.

Bring your cross country skis and bathing suit if you wish for a wintertime adventure on the property or lounging in the cedar hot tub. In the summer, you'll find yourself taking the most darling little path to the 50' swimming pool complete with roman steps and a traditional hand-built rock wall.

Also, because of our unique location and rural setting, you may occasionally encounter wildlife or pests, both inside and outside the house. This is to be expected since you are in the country. 😉 While we take preventive measures to minimize their presence, it’s important to remember that nature is part of the charm of staying here. We kindly ask that you keep doors and windows closed when not in use, and store food properly to help us maintain a comfortable and clean environment for everyone. Enjoy your stay in this peaceful retreat surrounded by nature!

We can't wait for you to experience this magical enclave that rests between the Hudson River and Taconic Mountains! Enjoy, and anything you need we and our caretakers are at your service!

  • All parts of the post & beam home will be yours! You'll be able to access the entire house and grounds, including all bedrooms, living and dining areas, theater room, laundry room, outdoor deck, hot tub, swimming pool (when in season), outdoor fire pit, walking paths, and more.

There is a separate cottage and main house that are being renovated on the other side of the property that's over a hill and absolutely not in earshot nor eyesight.

Our full time caretakers live just a five minute walk away, and can be available for any and all of your needs, while also allowing you to be fully private and unencumbered.

  • The home is only a 7-minute drive to the darling town of Pine Plains, NY where you'll find The Stissing House, once the oldest perpetually operating inn in America dating from the mid 1700s and now a highly reviewed and gorgeous Shaker-chic restaurant from executive chef Clare de Boer.

Also in Pine Plains is Champetre, the restaurant from renowned and pedigreed French chef Michel Jean, amongst other lovely little cafes and restaurants.

A 20-minute drive takes you to Millerton, NY – the antiques capital of the northeastern Hudson Valley – where cafes, restaurants, and a classic diner & movie theatre also reside.

Also only a 20-minute drive to the art haven of Wassaic, NY (and make sure to stop by the gorgeous old inn and restaurant Troutbeck next door in Amenia if you go!).

Only a winding and gorgeous 30-minute drive to much-talked-about Hudson Valley epicenter of Hudson, NY, and only 30 minutes to all the charming restaurants and shops of Rhinebeck, NY.

The Berkshires of Massachusetts (including the historic town of Lenox, MA) and nostalgic grandeur of northwestern Connecticut are only a hop, skip, and a jump of a lovely drive away too, as are ski areas like Catamount and other fantastic bouts of nature like Bish Bash Falls (the highest falls in the state) and Race Brook Falls.

Given the nature of all the furniture, art, and decor of the house, we recommend that any young children are overseen so that the home is properly respected. Thank you and see you soon!
